How to Play 2048 3D
Choose a 3×3×3 or 4×4×4 board. Swipe along a visible cube axis or press an arrow to slide every number toward that side. Equal numbers merge in pairs, adding the resulting value to your score. Each valid move adds one new 2 or 4; an unchanged board adds nothing.
Use Left and Right to rotate the camera by a quarter turn. The arrow buttons follow your view. Inspect gives a higher viewpoint and pauses movement. Pinch or use the wheel to zoom, adjust Spacing to separate cubes, and press Fit to restore framing.
Plan Across All Three Axes
Look beyond the front layer: a cube behind another may offer a merge along a different axis. Keep empty cells available and bring similar values toward the same corner. A newly merged cube cannot merge again during the same move. Undo restores the previous board and score; best scores are tracked separately for both sizes.
Frequently asked questions
How is 2048 3D different from classic 2048?
Cubes move along three axes in six directions. Choose a 27-cell or 64-cell board; equal numbers merge once per move and add their new value to your score.
How do I control the cubes?
Swipe along a visible axis or use the six arrow buttons. Left and Right rotate the view by 90 degrees. Inspect locks moves while you examine the board. Wheel or pinch to zoom; Fit restores the view.
Are scores and progress saved?
When browser storage is available, each board size saves its own progress and best score. Undo restores the previous board and score. A move that changes nothing never adds a cube.
When does the game end?
The game ends when none of the six directions can move or merge a cube. You can undo or restart. Reaching 2048 does not prevent you from continuing.
