FreeCell Solitaire
FreeCell uses one standard 52-card deck, with every card visible at the beginning. Eight tableau columns hold the deal. Four Free Cells can each store one card temporarily, while four foundations collect cards by suit from Ace through King. Because there is no stock and no hidden card, the challenge comes from planning how to use the available space.
Tableau cards build downward in alternating colors. Legal sequences can move together when enough Free Cells and empty tableau columns are available. FreeCell is a good choice when you prefer to see the entire problem and compare several moves before committing to one.

Spider uses 104 cards from two standard decks and begins with 54 cards across ten tableau columns. The other 50 cards form five stock deals. Cards may build downward by rank regardless of suit, but only a same-suit descending sequence can move together.
Complete a same-suit run from King through Ace and it leaves the tableau. Completing eight runs wins the deal. Uletime includes 1 Suit for learning, 2 Suits for intermediate play, and the harder traditional 4 Suits game on the same page.

FreeCell vs Spider Solitaire
FreeCell is mainly an open-information planning game. The four temporary cells and any empty tableau columns determine how large a sequence you can reorganize, so managing free space is central to every deal. Foundations provide a steady destination for low cards as each suit builds upward.
Spider focuses on longer descending arrangements, revealing hidden cards, and deciding when to deal another row from the stock. Empty columns are valuable working spaces, but they must be filled before a stock deal. Suit choices also let you adjust the difficulty without changing the basic objective.
Try FreeCell if you enjoy studying a fully visible layout. Choose Spider if you prefer uncovering cards, joining sequences, and working toward complete King-to-Ace runs. Undo and Hint are available in both games, but each follows its own rules.
